The Snorkel story began in 1979 at the University of Alaska, where physicist Roger Evans sought to create an efficient, wood-burning underwater stove. His purpose was simple: provide the luxury of hot tubbing in any location, without the need for electricity. That original submerged design, the Snorkel® Stove, soon grew into a company dedicated to spreading that freedom globally.
