1⁄4-tub surround

Tub surrounds are sold with a minimum starting increment of 1/4 of the tub circumference. Additional increments are typically sold in 1/4 sections, but are available in 1/8 sections if needed.

The tub surrounds rest on sections of the same chine joists that support the tub and the are attached with screws to the tub wall. They are very sturdy and can support the weight of an average adult with no problem.

The surround sections come almost fully assembled.  Three staves are left off of each section to allow access to screw them to the tub and and each other.  Once that is done, all that is necessary is to screw the staves onto the surround.
